Appropriation is the act in which you go through by taking images/ stealing images to recreate them into a hole new meaning from the original image. For this I looked into a photographer called Richard Prince. Who in facet would take images from other photographer and re-create them into something else. As an Example:

This was an interesting and inspiring image to look with actually seeing that with taking a original and engaging image and changing it into a completely different context which itself is also engaging. For the original image to be of a man who looks like he is being disturbed for this photo being taken out of his time to look at a stance of ready to have a confrontation. But looking like a stereotypical Rasta with the hair and having that dark skin. You find that Richard prince enhance the stereotype with adding in a guitar; Because Rasta had influenced there own genre of music. Also with Richard prince blocking out the eye I personally this that he is trying to also putting across that rasta’s where into there illegal drugs.
This I personally find that it is interesting as a view with understanding that with a message behind you image and an explanation on the new narrative in which you have create you are able to bring up individual opinion and ideas that you might see within the image that others would not see.

With this new I was very unsure in which to put this one up?
for what i have done is taken the image of the Sainsburys advert with advertising the 2nd world war when the Germans and the English got out and played football together for one day till they got back in and started fighting them again. The image that i have created was to show the war that was still fought and that in a way trust was an issues between them. In the corner right you can see that there is a hand-grenade being held and this is why the English man is holding up the gun. (just wanted to make that clear !!)
With my image i wanted to show that even though in these times and at anytime you can get along with sooooo many people . With different cultures as well and different countries there is always a dark source of the past that is always shown through. No matter how many years and years ago history will always be brought up to show the power of a country and culture to be used against each other.
ORIGINAL IMAGE
For this image I doubled the women to have it look like that it is her own self/other side of her to be taken away from her. With the image i changed the colour balance with bring into each of them at a contrast as from the women on the right is in a more light of red with the emotion and the passion being produced. the women Ghost escaping her cold with blues and purple which i want to show the negativity leaving the sadness that she has been holding in.
With the editing i used a series of different effects within photo shop such as :
- Colour balance
- Brightness and Contrast
- Blur Brush
This image I wanted to have a to give a hand out for all women around the world who deal with stress, depression, anxiety and other on mental and physical fights. That they have to go through each day with either trying to be excepted with in society. Trying to get through day to day life by either by physically note being able to do thinks that a ‘NORMAL PERSON’ is able to do or the way a ‘NORMAL PERSON’ should think. You can find that people who suffer with these problem have to deal with life another way which when they are looked upon might seem to be ‘NOT NORMAL’. For the most of the population women, men and even children everything had become more difficult and that they find they have more then one voice within the head telling what to do next, later, now, what should have been done and finding that there not living for the day.
This image I have created i wanted to sum up the many different problems in which are going around through the heads and how sometime escaping something that is connected to you can be difficult to get away from as well.

What I want to put forward through this image is that the next generation are in a way dead of blindness. With what the world is actually is for the way it looks and for the experience that they are missing with technology. That has been put forward through the years and that is going to advance even more forward in years to come. This is going to destroy the next generation in a way because technology is what is going to make them dependent on it. What also I wanted to get through on this is that for the new age of technology and the new generation they are going to be growing up with each other which could lead are new generation of humans they are going to be nurtured in not communicating with other humans by using there nature aspect they where giving such as Speech this could cause for the lack of them learning how to speak as the will be bale to type what they are wanting to say.
For some people they could be thinking but is that not good that technology is growing and finding new way to help people with in the world and this is what the human race needs to move forward. Well are ancestors mange to survive with just using a piece of paper and a pen to communicate from people with long distances. no one back in time was never out of communication but also what was found that they had a lot more patience. With waiting for a reply where everything in 21st century seems to need a direct answer straight away so that they are able to get on with there day to day life such as asking there partner what they wanted for dinner.
With this image I want to bring the shock factor to the audience who are looking at this image with having them think about ‘Why has she created this disturbing image’ ‘ Was there a reason or a narrative or even a meaning behind this that i should take into through’.
